Father and Child teams compete in the first ever The New Paper CyberChallenge
Singapore, 13 June 2007 - Incorporating a
Father/Child Team Challenge (inconjunction with Father’s Day), the inaugural The New Paper CyberChallenge 2007 will be held at Funan Digitalife Mall from
June 14 to 17, 2007, 11am to 7pm.
Some 400 players will be competing in five challenges -
- Need For Speed Carbon (2 vs 2, Father & Child team, on Sony Playstation@3)
- Fight Night Round 3 (1 vs 1 on Sony Playstation@3)
- NBA Home Court (2 vs 2 on Sony Playstation@3)
- Command & Conquer (1 vs 1 on Acer PC)
- 2142 Battlefield (5 vs 5 on Acer PC)
All
challenges were pre-registered but Father & Child teams may still
walk-in to register on June 16, 11am to 4pm and June 17, 11am to 2pm.
Over $13,000 worth of cash and prizes are up for grabs in these five
challenges. Details of prizes can be found in attachment A.
There will also be four Sony PSP Bundles, worth $400 each, for the
visitors’ lucky draw. Each bundle comprises a Sony PSP 1006 CG & an
EA - UEFA Champions League game. The lucky draw coupon can be found in
The New Paper on June 16 & 17, and in The Straits Times on June 16.
The finals of the five challenges will be played on Sunday, June 17 from 4pm onwards.
The New CyberChallenge is presented by Sony with Acer as the main
sponsor. The gaming partners are Electronic Arts Asia Pacific (EA) and
Rapture Gaming. Funan Digitalife Mall and AsiaOne are the official
venue sponsor and official online partner respectively.
