•Editorial content, fundamental data and social media combined to provide unique information access and offer a holistic approach to investment in Catalist companies
Singapore, 26 October 2017 – ShareInvestor today launched its new portal – Investor-One (Investor-One.com) - in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the SGX’s creation of the Catalist board. ShareInvestor is a finance-focused media & technology subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings. The Investor-One portal was officially unveiled today at the Catalist 10th anniversary networking event hosted by SGX.
Behind Investor-One is a team that has an 18-year track record as an established market data and online Investor Relations provider in Southeast Asia. The Catalist company-focused portal is developed with ShareInvestor’s intimate knowledge of the investing community, and harnesses its strengths in technology, content and distribution.
Investor-One portal is divided into these sections:
- Editorial: carries exclusive Investor-One interviews, aggregated content from SPH publications and platforms, SGX’s kopi-C articles and market updates.
- Quick Facts: is a dynamic concise summary featuring key investment related information of individual Catalist companies. This includes important valuation metrics like revenue, profit growth and total shareholder returns.
- Social: presents views from the investing community, leveraging on InvestingNote.com, a free new-generation social media platform. Investor-One aims to form a community of investors interested in Catalist counters where they can exchange investment ideas and access financial insights and information.
- IPO: gives a countdown for companies going for IPO listing, and also lists recent IPOs and their market performance.
- Academy: features educational articles such as Sector Primers which are SGX industry reports, articles contributed by sponsor companies and other experts.
Investors will find original news and company features on these four Catalist companies: infrastructure specialist Kori Holdings, oil discovery company Rex International Holding, jewellery company TLV Holdings, and Malaysian goldmining company CNMC Goldmine Holdings. The Editorial section also includes educational input by the portal’s two Sponsors, PrimePartners Corporate Finance and SAC Capital. A key highlight will be the webcast interview with Kori Holdings’ CEO, Mr Hooi Yu Koh.
Besides fresh content generated by the Investor-One team, the portal also carries SGX’s industry and sectoral research and analyses, as well as the Stock Exchange’s popular kopi-C series featuring intimate profiles of Catalist company founders. These features raise the corporate profiles and highlights the investment merits of Catalist companies. It also aims to attract aspiring companies seeking a Catalist listing by providing relevant information on governance and financing matters.
Mr Christopher Lee, Chief Executive Officer, ShareInvestor, said: “To date, Catalist companies do not get much coverage in the mainstream media or from the research houses. Investor-One aims to change that. The portal’s bite-sized content is also suitable in an age where most of us have a short attention span and want access to concise and quick information.”
Targeted at investors, traders, analysts and Catalist company owners, Investor-One is a one-stop platform with user-rich content such as live news, interviews, fundamental and technical data, social media content, updates and corporate announcements of Catalist companies. It covers topics ranging from finance, governance, legal and marketing.
Investor-One offers new and curated content, with a dedicated editorial team that will produce content such as corporate profiles and videos that take a behind-the-scenes look at Catalist company owners. It also aggregates content pulled from across leading publications of SPH such as The Business Times and The Straits Times, SGX and from other expert third-party sources.
Investor-One will have a mobile-friendly interface for quick and convenient access through all web browsers, operating systems and across all digital devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
The development of the Investor-One is spearheaded by ShareInvestor, and supported by SGX through its Investor Education Fund, and two Catalist Full Sponsors - Prime Partners Corporate Finance (PPCF) and SAC Capital (SACC).
Established since 2009, SGX’s Investor Education Fund seeks to support initiatives that help and empower investors to make better informed investment decisions.
To cater to the needs of fast-growing companies, Catalist was structured to provide faster time-to-market and more headroom for secondary fundraising, acquisitions and disposal, giving companies the flexibility of accelerated growth under a sponsor-driven regime. Companies seeking a Catalist listing are not required to fulfil any minimum earnings, operational track record or market capitalisation requirements, but needs to be deemed ready for listing by an accredited Catalist sponsor.
Catalist Full Sponsors, such as PPCF and SACC, are authorised by SGX to conduct introduction activities to prepare companies seeking listing on Catalist as well as advising and supervising both new and listed companies on compliance and governance matters.
