Relaunched
Business Times targets the decision-makers
SINGAPORE, 11 AUGUST 2004 - From September 1, The Business
Times will come with stronger content and a fresh new look.
The new Business Times will pack in more pages and introduce a
number of new features in a more reader-friendly format. Readers
will be greeted with a new and more distinctive masthead, and the
text will come in bigger typeface with more generous spacing.
But the main changes are aimed at giving readers more value-add
in their choice of investments, and in the way they pursue their
business, their careers and their lifestyles.
Said BT Editor Alvin Tay: "The reader-friendly presentation
is intended for one purpose only, to engage our readers. We want
BT to be the paper for business and investment decision-makers.
Whether it is about picking the right stocks to invest in, or making
the right business decisions, the new BT is designed to help professionals,
managers, executives and businessmen make informed choices."
The revamped business daily, published by Singapore Press Holdings,
will come in one section, with the inclusion of the Shipping Times
in the main paper. Several new products will be introduced, while
existing BT products will be refined and beefed up to better project
the news, trends and views.
The last major makeover for the 28-year-old BT was done nine years
ago.
The new-look BT will be unveiled at a trade launch at 7 pm today
(11 August) for advertisers and advertising agencies at the Bar
and Billiard Room, in Raffles Hotel.
Full details of the revamped BT are attached.
