Celebrate SHAPE's 1st Birthday!
SHAPE SINGAPORE - the only active lifestyle guide for women
here - turns Wisma Atria into a competitive playground this weekend.
To celebrate turning one, the magazine is holding a fun-filled
and adrenaline-packed SHAPE Birthday Race in and around the shopping
centre. Ten to twelve teams (made up of two women each) will pit
their wits and strength in search of clues that will lead them to
complete ten tasks along the trail. The exciting challenges include
a tug-of-war, a 1-km treadmill marathon, a hole-in-one golf challenge,
a yoghurt eating contest, and diving into a 2m-wide box to retrieve
a clue. The winning duo will walk away with two air tickets and
$1,000 worth of Wisma Atria shopping vouchers!
The SHAPE Birthday Race is one of the highlights planned for
Shape's first birthday celebrations at Wisma Atria from this Friday
to Sunday (July 8 - 10) from 11am - 9pm.
Adding some star power to the event are some of the Singapore Sports
Idols - our favourite national athletes who are part of Team Singapore.
Launched last July by SPH Magazines, SHAPE Singapore is a franchisee
of the #1 women's health and fitness magazine in the US. It has
a circulation of 40,000 and a readership of 64,000. The aim of the
magazine is not just about shaping the way you look, but shaping
your Iife. It covers the latest health, fitness, nutrition and beauty
news.
Other exciting activities at the birthday roadshow:
- A cheerleading showcase by the Cheerleading Association of Singapore,
a gymnastics performance by Team Singapore, and fitness demos
by Amore.
- A traffic-stopping beach and active wear fashion show along
Wisma Atria's sidewalk, featuring clothes by Tannlines, Surf Babe,
Nike Women and more.
- Slip on Bossini's latest active wear, get a mini makeover, and
get photographed for the "I Love My SHAPE" photo contest.
The reader who best personifies the SHAPE spirit wins a prize!
- Free head and shoulder massages by Atos Wellness.
- A sure-win lucky dip, with prizes that include a pair of air
tickets to Bangkok.
- Plus subscribe to Shape at the roadshow and receive fabulous
subscription gifts, and a goodie bag full of treats with every
copy of Shape purchased.
Amidst the festivities, SHAPE has also taken on a charitable cause
by raising funds for the Singapore Disability Sports Council.
20% of magazine sales from the event will be donated to the SDSC,
which promotes sports among the disabled in Singapore. To encourage
public donations, those who pledge $10 and above will get a complimentary
copy of SHAPE and a shot at the lucky dip.
