Asias Hottest Pop Stars
Rock at ZPOP zbNOW Concert to Raise Funds for Presidents Challenge
2005!
Singapore, 22 July 2005 - Some of Asias hottest pop artistes
will perform at the ZPOP zbNOW Concert tomorrow at the Suntec Singapore
Convention Hall 6 to raise funds for Presidents Challenge 2005.
Organised by Lianhe Zaobao, the six hour marathon concert, which will start
from 5pm to 11pm, will feature performances by 18 of the hottest pop
artistes in Asia from Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Korea and Singapore. The
star-studded line-up for the concert, co-hosted by popular UFM1003 deejays,
Pornsak, Yu Ling (于玲), and Jian Wen (坚文), includes:

The pop extravaganza, which is also held in support of the
President’s
Challenge, will be graced by Special Guest, President S R Nathan.
Mr Lim Huan Chiang, Vice-President, Cultural Industry Promotion, Chinese Newspapers Division, SPH said: “Lianhe Zaobao is proud to be actively
involved in raising funds for the President’s Challenge since 2002 to help
the less fortunate in our society. Last year’s ZPOP zbNOW concert was a
great success. This year’s concert promises to be another dazzling pop show
and we invite all to come rock to the music, donate to a worthy cause!”
For those looking to purchase concert tickets at the last minute, tickets
are available from the sales counter tomorrow (23 July) at the Suntec
Convention Hall Lobby Level1 from 1pm to 5pm and at the counter outside
Suntec Convention Hall 6 (Level 6) from 5pm onwards. Tickets are sold at
$20, $30, $50 and $60.
All ticket sales proceeds and outright donations raised through the concert
will be donated to the 47 appointed beneficiaries under the President's
Challenge 2005.
As there will be a road closure on 23 July around the vicinity from 1 pm to
11 pm due to the National Day Parade rehearsal at the Padang, concert-goers
are advised to take the MRT to the concert venue. Motorists are advised to
use the ECP, exit by Rochor Road Exit, turn left into Temasek Boulevard and
then head towards the Convention Centre.
