Singapore, 17 August 2005 - Upon the completion of Temasek Holding’s placement of 200 million CapitaLand shares, the free-float factor of CapitaLand used for the calculation of the Straits Times Index will be increased from 0.35 to 0.55.

This change will take effect at the start of trading on Friday, 26 August.
