Singapore Press Holdings appoints
new head of Corporate Relations
Singapore, 27 September 2005 - SPH today announced the appointment of
Arnold Gay as its new head of Corporate Relations.
Arnolds appointment, which takes effect on 1 October 2005,
follows the departure of SPH's former CR head, Ms Irene Ngoo.
Arnold, 38, currently Assistant News Editor of The Straits Times,
has 13 years of experience in radio, television and print journalism.
He was previously an anchor on the award-winning news programme
of STTV, SPHs former English TV arm.
On his new appointment, Arnold said: I can't think of a more
exciting place to be. These days, a successful company is not judged
solely by its bottomline, but also by its public image. SPH already
has a rock-solid reputation, and I look forward to helping the company
build on this, as we continue to reach out to our readers, shareholders
and the general public."
Said Ginney Lim, Senior Vice President, Legal, Corporate Relations
and Group Company Secretary: We are delighted to welcome Arnold
to helm our Corporate Relations. With his extensive media experience
and industry network, he will be a valuable asset to the team.
