File Type HTML with sliced images (JPEG or GIF) only

Things to note:

  1. Title or subject: 88 characters maximum (including spaces).
    • [ADV] or <ADV> to precede eDM subject title
    • [ADV] or <ADV> is not included in the word count limit stated above
  2. All images to include both <alt> and <title>.
  3. Rich Format Elements are not accepted. Some examples would be:
    • Flash
    • QuickTime
    • Javascript
    • Other data capturing scripts
  4. No image mapping in the HTML.
  5. No ‘colspan’ and/or ‘rowspan’ in the HTML.
  6. All CSS should be in-line.
    • Do not put it within the <head> tag or use external style sheet
  7. PDF materials are not accepted.
  8. Allow only background tile images across the base.
  9. We highly recommend you put your HTML newsletter through this premailer convertor.
  10. Other remarks:
    • A maximum of 3 changes is allowed after receiving the first mock-up
    • A test broadcast will be done once the final eDM is ready
    • Any request for additional changes or test broadcasts after crossing the maximum limit will be subjected to a charge of S$250 (before GST)
    • Blasting of eDMs bearing similar visuals within a week of each other is not recommended.

How to complete the premailer procedure:

  1. Host your HTML newsletter so that you can access it with a URL
  2. Copy and paste the newsletter URL into the URL box of the premailer
  3. Check only the top 3 boxes under options and submit
  4. Preview the converted version by clicking the “click to view the HTML results” button.
  5. If the converted version appears undistorted in your preview, copy and paste the converted HTML source into a new HTML file
  6. If the converted version appears distorted in your preview, it means that your original HTML newsletter does not conform to the requirements of your HTML newsletter. Edit your HTML newsletter and repeat the process
  7. Submit the converted HTML file

In the event you skipped these premailer steps, we will still do it for you. However, we will not be responsible for any distortion in the final product.
