Transitional Ads are eye-catching pop-ups that appear as users navigate our sites or apps. They are designed to be grab attention while being easy to close, minimizing annoyance. This bundle includes the Mobile Catfish on mobile web, App Splash on mobile app and Desktop Transitional Ad.

Video

Requirements1. Aspect ratio: 16:9
- Video must fill full screen
- No black bars
- Export your video file in 854 x 480 px, 16:9 aspect ratio for vertical videos

2. Encode the video file in the H.264 codec

3. Maximum video file size supported is 2 MB

4. Video/Backup image
- Follows the dimension of the video given
- Video/backup image can be positioned anywhere within the 1366 x 624 px space

5. Only applicable for transitional ads

Things to note:

  1. Transitional Ad consists of the following ad units: Mobile Catfish, App Splash, Desktop Transitional Ad.
  2. Provide one click-through URL.
  3. Third-party tags are not allowed. Only 1 impression tracker and 1 click tracker will be permitted for a single set of creative material.
  4. The close button will be provided by SPH Media.
  5. If creative is provided by the client for adaption by SPH Media:
    • Submit ad creative per specification for scheduling at least 5 working days prior to the launch of the campaign
    • If necessary, provide the ad creative source files in PSD or AI layered files including fonts or images and MP4 for video
    • There will be a maximum limit of 3 creatives per campaign. The cost for the first creative will be absorbed by SPH Media while the remaining two creatives are subject to adaptation cost
  6. If creative production by SPH Media:
    • Provide the ad creative source files in PSD or AI layered files including fonts or images and MP4 for video.
    • Lead time at least 10 working days prior to the campaign launch.
    • SPH Media will allow up to 3 rounds of changes. Final changes need to be confirmed no later than 3 working days prior to the campaign launch.
    • There will be a maximum limit of 3 creatives per campaign. These are subject to adaptation and production fees.
    • Client to provide applicable brief and requirements. The quote will be provided based on requirements.
  7. There will be no animation limit for any animated transitional ads.
  8. The video autoplays in mute as default. The user has to initiate turning the sound on.

  • Submit the ad creatives for scheduling at least 10 working days prior to the campaign launch
