Singapore, 13 July 2010 --- Fine Italian Gelato, traditional Chinese pastries, BBQ meat slices, Taiwan street snacks and the best electronics deals in town are just some of the highlights of the inaugural Food & Electronics Bazaar 2010.
This three-day food cum electronics fair, organised by Sphere Exhibits, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), will be held from 16 to 18 July 2010 at the Singapore Expo Hall 5B. The fair, which is free admission from 11am to 9pm daily, is expected to draw 100,000 visitors.
With the aim of attracting foodies and gadget lovers, the Food & Electronics Bazaar brings together the best bargains in gourmet delights and electronics galore under one roof.
It is literally a food paradise with approximately 2,700 sqm of the exhibition hall dedicated to F & B exhibitors. Fabulous food offerings include Galta Gelato from Italy, with over 27 flavours of gelato made from the finest ingredients; BBQ Sambal Pork, a new product by BBQ meat specialist New Peng Hiang; Tong Kay's award-winning Mango Duck Rolls; Tian Wu's immensely popular Custard Buns; Chick Chat Fried Chicken and a spread of authentic Taiwanese street snacks such as fried chicken chop and oyster mee sua. Nuts 'N' Co, an established local wholesale and retail distributor of quality flavoured Macadamia nuts, which usually offers only online purchase, will also set up a booth to sell its wide range of Macadamia products at discounted prices.
Pastry lovers who are into traditional Chinese pastries will be spoilt for choice at D'bun with its handmade dumplings and buns and Poh Guan Cake House, one of Singapore's oldest Chinese pastry stores, which has been serving freshly-baked mooncakes, cookies and tarts since 1930.
Gadget fans can look forward to special deals and goodies at the electronics section, which occupies over 2,300 sqm of the fair.
Some of the irresistible deals include a free LG handphone (worth $99) or a free digital photo frame (worth $199), with the purchase of selected advertised digital cameras. Purchase an advertised LCD/ Plasma TV to get a branded video camera worth $399. In addition, special bundle deals are also up for grabs. DBS/ POSB credit card members can purchase a 52" Philips full HD LCD TV (Usual Price $2999) and a HP mini netbook (Usual Price: $699) at only $2199 with a $800 rebate.

Adding to the buzz generated by the fair, a total of 600 goodie bags will be given out daily. Visitors have to cut out a coupon found in the advertisements published in SPH newspapers.
Each goodie bag, worth $88 in value, will contain a household electronic item (either an Electronic Kettle, Hair Dryer or Pop-up Toaster), as well as food items, including a bottle of Perrier Lime, Milka chocolate bar, Indocafe white coffee, Robert Timm's cappuccino 3-in-1, Mister Potato crisps, OTO voucher worth $30, Polar Grass Jelly Drink, Winwin Assorted Confectionery and Nata de Coco drink.
