Inaugural event held in conjunction with INVEST Fair 2010 exhibition
Singapore, 20 August 2010 – Some of the region's leading corporate leaders and experts in the financial market convened at the inaugural INVEST Fair 2010 Conference held this morning. Jointly organised by The Business Times, Singapore’s leading business daily, and ShareInvestor, the financial internet media and technology company and a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), INVEST Fair 2010 Conference was held at the Marina Bay Sands Grand Ballroom in conjunction with the 2-day INVEST Fair Exhibition.
The theme of the inaugural conference was “Riding the Regional Recovery” and it comprised three separate panel discussions covering topics ranging from investing in equities, evolving roles of Asian bourses in the equities and commodities market and the performance of ASEAN blue-chip companies.
Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and Transport, was the Guest-of-Honour for the INVEST Fair 2010 Conference.
Some of the corporate leaders who participated in the panel discussions included Mr Alan Chan, Chief Executive Officer of SPH; Mr Piyush Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of DBS Bank; Mr Charamporn Jotikasthira, President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand; and Dato’ Jeffrey Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway REIT Management Sdn Bhd, among others.
