Royal Plaza on Scotts offers attractive holiday packages to most Influential Fans on Facebook

Royal Plaza on Scotts has launched a contest to award the most influential fans on their Facebook Fan Page with attractive holiday packages, including a pair of return tickets to Singapore and a free stay at Royal Plaza on Scotts’ Executive Suite.

Singapore, 30 November 2010 – Royal Plaza on Scotts (RP) has rolled out a contest, implemented by socialTRUE, to reward the most influential fans on Facebook with highly attractive prizes. The game requires RP fans to bring in the most number of users to “Like” RP on Facebook in order to qualify for the top prize.

According to Patrick Fiat, General Manager of RP, the hotel’s Facebook Page is one of the many opportunities in the social media space to engage with customers and potential customers in the region. He said, “Technology has proven itself to be one of the most efficient ways to reach out to many, so we definitely want to use those mouse clicks to enlarge our customer base. Through this contest, we hope the Royal Plaza on Scotts brand and service values will be recognised by many in the region.”

He added, "Royal Plaza on Scotts encourages fans to share their comments about the hotel. We believe there is no better advocate than the guest who has enjoyed his stay with us and is so delighted that he goes out there to share his great experience with his friends on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. That is an affirmation of a job well done.”

The highest number of fans brought in through a contestant’s invite using various channels such as email, facebook status updates, wall posts or invites will increase his or her ranking in the running for Royal Plaza on Scotts most Influential Fan in Asia Contest.

At the end of the contest, the top 3 most Influential Fans will win themselves a free stay at the Royal Plaza on Scotts. The top 3 prizes are as follows:

1st Prize Return tickets to Singapore from selected capital cities for 2 with a 4D3N stay in the newly-renovated Executive Suite with breakfast, broadband, minibar and access to Royal Club for afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
2nd Prize 3D2N stay in Club Deluxe room for 2 with breakfast, broadband, minibar, and access to Royal Club for afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
3rd Prize 3D2N stay in Superior room for 2 with breakfast, broadband and minibar.

One of the key objectives RP had in mind when engaging clickTRUE to help them in their Social Media Marketing strategy was to grow the Facebook Fan base in preparation for the next phase of engagement.
