Paragon Adds Colours to Your Chinese New Year

Singapore, 13 January 2011 -- This year, Paragon has chosen 彩 (Cai) as the theme for its Chinese New Year celebrations. Like the Chinese idiom, 多姿多彩, which refers to a diversity of forms and colours, Paragon hopes to add variety to the Chinese New Year celebrations at the mall.

Paragon, the premier shopping mall on Orchard Road, is all dressed up to welcome the Year of the Rabbit. Suspended in the atriums are exquisite Chinese lanterns and strings of modernised lanterns that resemble diamond-shaped couplets in alternate red and matte gold colours . They are hung in clusters in a wavy formation to create a chandelier-like design, resulting in a multiple-dimensional display. When fully lit, the lanterns will illuminate the mall with a bright orange glow, creating a welcoming festive atmosphere for shoppers.

From 13 January to 2 February, Paragon shoppers can look forward to a series of exciting promotions and performances, including:

1. Citi Paragon Platinum MasterCard Exclusive

Citi Paragon Platinum MasterCard cardmembers can redeem $30 worth of Paragon shopping vouchers with a minimum of $380* charged in a single receipt at the mall. Other Citibank Credit cardmembers will receive $20.

    * Limited to the first 800 cardmembers on a first-come-first-served basis, while stock last. Other terms and conditions apply.

2. Gifts of Good Fortune

Shoppers will receive a set of exclusively-designed hong baos and a mandarin orange carrier with a minimum spend of $180* at Paragon.
    * Limited to a maximum of two redemptions per shopper per day, while stocks last.

3. Artfully Yours

With the overwhelming response for the porcelain mugs last year, Paragon has decided to collaborate with two of its art galleries this year - Heng Artland and Images of China, to feature their artists' works on coffee mugs.

Shoppers can redeem these porcelain coffee mugs with a minimum spend of $680* in a single receipt at Paragon.

    * Limited to one redemption per shopper per day on a first-come-first-served basis, while stocks last.

4. A Chinese New Year Serenade

Shoppers can also soak in the festive atmosphere and enjoy enthralling performances by Beverly Morata from 13 January to 2 February at the Paragon Atrium.

    Monday – Friday (except Tuesday): 12.30pm & 1.30pm.
    Saturday & Sunday: 3.30pm & 4.30pm

5. Home & Décor Ideas

Those who are thinking of dressing up their homes for the Chinese New Year celebrations can get some ideas from the home and furnishings displays at Paragon Atrium 2 and Level 1 Linkway.
