SPHMBO Goes Big In The West

Singapore, 18 January 2011 – Advertisers who wish to reach consumers in the challenging out-of-home segment can now vie for at least eight new outdoor locations at one of the busiest hubs in Clementi.

SPH MediaBoxOffice (SPHMBO) has signed an exclusive partnership with The Clementi Mall, which opened its doors to shoppers last week. The agreement allows SPHMBO to market the eight sites which has a combined static advertising space of 300 square metres. The sites are located prominently on the facades, glass elevator and huge walls near the mall’s entrance.

The six-storey mall has 190,000 square feet of retail space and is linked directly to the Clementi MRT station and the future bus interchange. The mall is situated below two new 40-storey apartments, comprising 388 residential units.

With its strategic location in the heart of Clementi township and accessibility to transportation amenities, The Clementi Mall is poised to be a magnet for some 100,000 residents in the area. It is also expected to draw scores of residents from the private estates in Holland Village, Bukit Timah, West Coast, and about 65,000 students from nearby institutions such as The National University of Singapore, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Singapore Institute of Management (SIM).

In addition to the new sites at The Clementi Mall, SPHMBO has secured a contract with neighbouring mall CityVibe to market its two large digital outdoor LED screens that face the MRT platforms and advertising sites within the mall.

The newly minted Clementi Mall with its excellent links to transportation facilities is going to attract many visitors from the western part of the island and beyond.
