SPH Ink Awards Celebrates the Best in Creative Print Ads

Introduction of Ink Media Agency of the Year and Ink Creative Agency of the Year awards

Singapore, 8 June 2011 – Leading media company Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) is inviting all advertising agencies, advertisers and other advertising-related organisations to submit their print advertisements published in any of SPH’s 18 newspaper titles for this year’s SPH Ink Awards.

The SPH Ink Awards recognises and honours the best print advertisements and the creative people behind them. This year’s Awards will honour those who embrace creativity and demonstrate that across all SPH media.

In addition to the six main categories and the Grand Prix, the organisers will be giving out two new awards to the media agency and creative agency which performed best across all categories.

Points will be allocated to the winners and finalists of each category. The highest scoring across all categories will be crowned the Ink Media Agency Of The Year and the Ink Creative Agency Of The Year, respectively.

The current six main categories for the SPH Ink Awards are:

  • Print Single – English
  • Print Campaign – English
  • Print Single/Campaign – Chinese
  • Print Classified/Recruitment/Notice
  • Print Creative Media Buy
  • Integrated Campaign

To be eligible for the 'Integrated Campaign' category, entries must have appeared in at least one other SPH marketing platform besides newspapers. SPH’s comprehensive range of marketing platforms includes more than 100 magazine titles, 2 radio stations, out-of-home as well as online media, including internet TV.

A successful campaign is one which delivers a clear message through eye-catching creatives and which best capitalises on the characteristics of each media platform.”

Entry Submission and Prizes

To be eligible for the Ink Awards, entries must have appeared in any of the 18 SPH newspaper titles during the period of 1 June 2010 to 31 May 2011.
The submission deadline is 6 July 2011.

The winners of the Ink Awards will be announced in a gala event in August 2011. The top entry of each category will win $3,000 in cash as well as receive a full page advertising space in SPH’s flagship newspapers, The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao. In addition, one of the six top entries will win the Grand Prix where the winner stands to win a cash prize worth up to $16,000.

Events and Outdoor Advertising
