CATS powers up and gives away $10,000 in cash!

Follow the clues and stand a chance to win this attractive cash prize
Singapore, 14 October 2011 – As part of its marketing campaign to hype up the CATS Powers Up product improvement exercise, Singapore Press Holdings' CATS Classified will be organising a launch event to celebrate CATS Classified's new look on 22 October, Saturday. During this event, a contest comprising stage activities will also be held, with the winner bagging the coveted $10,000 cash.
While this seems rather straightforward, the catch is that the event details for the launch event, i.e. time, date and venue have not been publicly announced. What readers have to do is to keep a lookout for the half-page CATS Classified advertisements containing a QR code. Readers who scan this QR code with their smart phones will be directed to a series of online, flash-mob videos containing clues that will eventually lead them to the right date, time and venue to participate in the event. (Please see Annex for the QR code and instructions on how to use it.)
Readers may also view the flash mob videos on the following platforms:
(i) The CATS Powers Up Facebook page (
(ii) (
(iii) YouTube
Two videos have already been posted online, and the next two videos will be posted on 15 and 19 October respectively.
Readers who turn up on the event day will be required to bring cut-out draw coupons which will be published in CATS Classified from 19 October onwards. These coupons will then be dropped into a lucky draw box where ten lucky readers will then be picked to vie for the $10,000 grand prize.
QR code:
1. Turn on 3G and download QR code reader onto smart phone.

3. Each video will divulge a clue pertaining to event date, time and venue respectively.
4. Get all the clues from all four videos.
5. Cut out lucky draw coupons published in CATS Classified from 19 October onwards, and turn up for the event.
