91.3FM celebrates five years of achievement at Avalon

Singapore, 27 October 2011 - SPH UnionWorks' 91.3FM will be holding its monthly Must Drink Friday (MDF) at Avalon club, Marina Bay Sands on 28 October to celebrate its fifth anniversary.
91.3FM has come a long way in the past five years. It is the fastest growing English radio station, notably in the last two years, with a remarkable increase from 198,000 listeners to 286,000 listeners (Wave 2, 2009 vs Wave 1, 2011). It currently holds the number four spot amongst the English radio stations (Nielsen radio survey, Wave 1, 2011) in Singapore since its re-branding in 2006. In August 2010, the station launched its online radio streaming on its website, as well as through other SPH websites such as ST RazorTV, Stomp, The Straits Times, The New Paper, AsiaOne and omy. The average total download is now at 60,000 per month. In Nov 2010,  the station launched its mobile applications with over 130,000 downloads to date. 91.3FM's Facebook fan page has increased ten-fold from 4,000 likes in June 2010 to over 45,000 likes currently.
That's not all. The 91.3FM website ( receives over 70,000 unique visitors on average per month. Just this year, the station was selected as the exclusive Official Radio Station for a slew of international singers such as Paramore, Suede, James Blunt, Good Charlotte and David Archuleta. 91.3FM also recently revamped its weekend programme shows with the debut of two brand new shows direct from Hollywood - Cannon's Countdown with Nick Cannon and The Fab 30 with Perez Hilton.

91.3FM will be celebrating the occasion with its listeners, trade partners, clients and the media. As per previous MDFs, listeners can win tickets to the event by tuning in to listen for the codeword to SMS and the 91.3FM DJs will call them back on a daily basis.
Guests at the party can expect to be entertained by The Married Men who will be doing a special dance as a tribute to American electro pop duo, LMFAO. There will be stage games hosted by The Married Men and prizes such as a Celine bag, a two-night stay at Bintan Lagoon Resort and a $1,000 Nubox voucher are up for grabs. Guests can also look forward to the finale where DJ Jeremy Ratnam will do a closing song before a cake-cutting session with the entire 91.3FM crew. It's no ordinary cake though; the cake is actually a customised five-tier birthday cake made out of 100 to 150 cupcakes!
There will also be free-flow of alcohol and guests are encouraged to join in the fun by turning up in their sexiest outfits.

The station’s latest alliance to the Global Golden Chart meant Radio 100.3 listeners are the first to hear exclusive new song releases and interviews with today’s hottest pop artistes.
