Get more out of your direct subscription with SPH Rewards

Singapore, 2 November 2011 - Singapore Press Holdings Ltd (SPH) today announced the launch of SPH Rewards, a loyalty programme for direct subscribers of SPH's newspapers. 
Through SPH Rewards, SPH aims to connect and engage with its direct subscribers throughout the year, as well as to thank and reward them for being a direct subscriber with SPH.
SPH Rewards will comprise four different components: SPH Treats, SPH Gifts, SPH Events and SPH Malls. 
SPH Treats - Direct subscribers will be entitled to treats such as a $30 discount on the purchase of EpiGuard from EpiCentre (usual price: $129), and discounts at F&B outlets such as Spinelli. 
SPH Gifts - Direct subscribers will be entitled to a gift on their birthday, such as a $100 voucher for Tivoli Audio products or a 1-for-1 offer for a large signature beverage at Spinelli. 
SPH Events - Direct subscribers willl be entitled to exclusive privileges to participate in events and contests. 
SPH Malls - Promotions with various merchants and retailers in specific malls to bring greater convenience for direct subscribers to enjoy SPH Rewards. Selected retailers from the Marina Bay Link Mall will be part of the SPH Rewards programme from 18 November to 31 December. Other malls have been lined up in the coming months.
To enjoy SPH Rewards, direct subscribers of SPH's newspapers simply need to sign up at and register a user account for themselves. Subscribers can then select and print out a voucher for the specific Reward they would like to enjoy.
There will be five fortnightly lucky draws over 10 weeks for direct subscribers who download and use the voucher, with two Sony Ericsson mobile phones (Xperia Arc S and Xperia Ray) and a Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet K1 to be won. 
The programme will be communicated to direct subscribers via print ads in SPH's flagship newspapers The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao, online via, social media such as Facebook and Twitter as well as at point-of-sales (POS) using window decals and tent cards placed at the participating retailers' shops. 
There are also plans to create a smart phone application in the near future, so that subscribers can have even greater ease in accessing the Rewards available, as well as the possibility of instant redemption of Rewards on site. 
Mr Chua Wee Phong, SPH's Executive Vice-President of Circulation, said: "SPH Rewards was conceptualised to reward loyal readers who subscribe directly with us. We are happy to offer our direct subscribers the best deals that we have struck with a host of retailers and merchants."

We will also evolve the Rewards offered so that our direct subscribers get to enjoy different offers and discounts at different times of the year. "

Events and Out-of-Home Advertising
SPH’s events subsidiary Sphere Exhibits organises innovative consumer and trade events and exhibitions. In addition, SPH has ventured into out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its wholly-owned subsidiary, SPH MediaBoxOffice Pte Ltd, Singapore’s leading Digital Out-of-Home advertising company.
SPH owns and manages Paragon, the prime retail and office complex in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore's main shopping belt. Its latest retail development, The Clementi Mall, started business operations in 2011.
