Singapore, 10 January 2013 – Lianhe Wanbao, an evening daily of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2013. Its tagline for its anniversary is “晚报真情30” or “Wanbao – 30 Years of Dedication”.

To celebrate this milestone, Lianhe Wanbao has planned a series of programmes to engage readers and thank them for their support.
The celebrations will start this Sunday, 13 January, with an outdoor healthy living mass workout event at the open field behind Buangkok MRT station from 8am to 12pm.
To be hosted by UFM 100.3 DJs, Huang Wenhong and Lim Anna, the event will kick off with a mass stretching exercise followed by a mass 2km brisk walk. Leading the walk will be Guest-of-Honour Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs, Adviser to Pasir Ris-Punggol GROs and MP for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, and Lianhe Wanbao Editor Mr Chua Chim Kang.
Close to 2,000 people are expected at the mass workout. Participants of all age groups can look forward to exciting and fun activities as well as interesting fitness workouts such as Zumba Dance and “PAssion Mambo”. A mini gym will also be available for the public to experience working out on fitness equipment. In addition, there will also be entertaining stage performances such as Taiji Wushu and attractive lucky draw prizes to be won.
Admission is free and the first 500 readers of Lianhe Wanbao who present a redemption coupon that will be published in the newspaper on 11 and 12 January 2013 will be able to redeem a goodie-bag.
