Paragon introduces new and exciting brands

Singapore, 11 January 2013 – As part of Paragon’s continuous efforts to provide its shoppers with new and exciting retail choices, the mall has brought in several unique and one-of-a-kind brands, some of which are slated to open early this year.

CEDELE BAKERY CAFÉ, known for making delicious and healthy food, offers a delicious range of breads, cakes, pies, pastries, cookies, sandwiches, salads and soups. Cedele’s newest bakery café branch commenced business in September 2012.

PODI, THE FOOD ORCHARD, another new restaurant concept by Cedele, offers an all day Western and Asian menu at Paragon. PODI joyously concocts dishes that perfectly combine herbs and spices with the freshest and quality natural ingredients. PODI commenced business in September 2012.

JUDITH LEIBER has recently opened her only standalone boutique at Paragon. Most famous for her minaudières, the handbags are often detailed in crystals amongst other exotic skins such as polished stingray, powder-finished lizard, glazed python and pearlized croc.

BlackBarRett, the diffusion line by Neil Barrett, will open its second standalone store outside of Japan on 25 January 2013. Singapore is the second city to do so, following Hong Kong which opened its store earlier this month. The store will carry the full range of ready-to-wear, bags, footwear and accessories, starting with the brand’s Spring/Summer 13 collection.

MAX & CO. will open its standalone boutique at Paragon in April 2013. The Italian brand is individual and dynamic, where the hallmark Italian sartorial tradition merges with creative and technological experimentation on forms, materials and colours. Qualità made in Italy unita a stile, glamour e design.

ERGO-LAB conceptualizes the study of ergonomics of our feet and designs footwear to stimulate the natural conditions of walking. Available since mid-December 2012, the store offers 3 brands that are synonymous with comfort – Ergo-Lab, MBT and FinnComfort.

URBAN360 is a multi-brand shoe concept store which houses leading lifestyle brands of footwear and accessories. Opened in mid-December 2012, the store carries brands such as Naturalizer, Florsheim, Regal and Betula.

STARTHREESIXTY JUNIOR is the latest addition to the kid’s collection at Paragon in January 2013. The store offers a variety of footwear for the young ones, with brands ranging from Polo Ralph Lauren, Guess, DKNY, Onitsuka Tiger, Havaianas, Clarks to Betula.

COLUMBIA, a sportswear brand from the United States, opened another of its retail outlet at Paragon in November 2012. This store offers high-quality performance products that keep you comfortable and protected, no matter where your excursions take you.

STRIDE RITE, the first choice for premium footwear in the US that kids love and moms trust. The store has just opened in early-November 2012 and will offer a wide assortment of shoes that are beautifully crafted and designer details coupled with superb quality.

SPH has a 20 per cent stake in MediaCorp TV Holdings Pte Ltd, which operates free-to-air channels 5, 8 and U, and a 40 per cent stake in MediaCorp Press Limited, which publishes the free newspaper, Today. In the radio business, SPH has an 80 per cent stake in SPH UnionWorks Pte Ltd, which operates entertainment stations UFM 100.3 in Mandarin, as well as Kiss 92 and HOT FM91.3 in English.

Events and Out-of-Home Advertising

SPH’s events subsidiary Sphere Exhibits organises innovative consumer and trade events and exhibitions. In addition, SPH has ventured into out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its wholly-owned subsidiary, SPH MediaBoxOffice Pte Ltd, Singapore’s leading Digital Out-of-Home advertising company.


SPH owns and manages Paragon, the prime retail and office complex in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore's main shopping belt. Its latest retail development, The Clementi Mall, started business operations in 2011. SPH's wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Development Pte Ltd, has also developed a 43-storey upmarket residential condominium, Sky@eleven, at Thomson Road.
