CATS Classified Pets Corner Event 2013

Singapore, 27 February 2013 - Pet owners will take centrestage at the CATS Classified Pets Corner Event 2013. While having fun with their beloved pets, they can showcase the strong bonds and hilarious similarities they have with their pets and stand to win fantastic prizes at the same time. This year's event, with the theme "Fun Time by the Beach", will be held from 10am to 5pm at East Coast Park E2, Angsana Green on Sunday, 10 March. Admission is free.

The highlight of this year’s event is the "Love Pledge to My Pet" mass ceremony. Introduced for the first time, the objective of this segment is to reinforce the message of responsible pet ownership and that the commitment of keeping a pet is a lifelong affair. All participating pet owners who make a pledge to love and care for their pets will receive a goodie bag as a token of appreciation.

The event will also feature a slew of stage contests and activities, which include:

  • Royal Canin’s ‘What’s your height?’ Contest
  • Dog-walk Contest
  • My Pet Rocks!
  • Royal Canin‘s “Most Gorgeous Fur” Contest
  • Fastest Hamster Race

There will be more than 20 booths comprising pet product retailers and service providers; as well as animal welfare organisations offering information on pet ownership and adoption. Besides revelling in the fun and excitement, visitors can also enjoy the convenience of this one-stop "mart" and find all things pet-related. There will also be an express pet grooming service at just $10.

Goodie bags will also be given to the first 500 visitors who turn up with a cut-out coupon, which will be published in The Sunday Times' CATS Classified section on 10 March.

Visitors who spend a minimum of $10 in a single receipt will receive a CATS foldable water bottle and post-it pad. Visitors who spend a minimum of $30 in a single receipt will get a CATS slim foldable umbrella. Gifts are available while stocks last, and limited to 3 redemptions per person. This year's event is sponsored by Royal Canin, a provider of premium dog and cat food.
