Vote for your favourite stars at Singapore Entertainment Awards 2013

Singapore, 28 February 2013 – With the ever growing popularity of Korean entertainment, this year's Singapore Entertainment Awards 2013 (SEA), or 新加坡e乐大赏, will see two new categories added – the Most Popular Music Video (Korea) and the Most Popular Korea TV Actor/Actress awards.

For the fifth year running, the SEA is organised by Singapore Press Holdings Ltd (SPH) and fronted by SPH’s leading entertainment media platforms Lianhe Wanbao, UFM 100.3, U-Weekly and The Awards will continue to honour the best talents and the movers and shakers of the Asian Entertainment scene in the past year.

With the two new categories added, a total of 34 awards will be presented this year across a wide spectrum of categories ranging from music, movies to concerts and more. The complete list of Award categories is found in
Appendix 1.

During the month of February, judging on the "Best" categories was carried out by a panel of respected professionals in the entertainment and media industry in Singapore and the region. Public voting for the “Most Popular” categories will commence on 28 February.

The results of the SEA 2013 will be announced in mid-April. Thereafter, SEA 2013 will honour the winners at a
Post Award Music Showcase. Details of the Music Showcase will be announced at a later date.

Mr Chua Chim Kang, Editor of Lianhe Wanbao and Chairman of Organising Committee for SEA 2013, said: "The Singapore Entertainment Awards has seen great success over the past four years, with a successful regional media showcase held in Taiwan last year. This year, with the inclusion of the two new categories, we will see the largest number of awards to be given out. SEA will continue to grow and establish itself as a key entertainment award in the region.”
