Singapore, 4 March 2013 – With more than 650 exhibitors occupying over 250,000 square feet of exhibition space, IT SHOW 2013 will be Singapore’s largest I.T, Digital, Mobile and Consumer Electronics Exhibition this year.
Organised by Exhibits Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), the four-day show will be held at Marina Bay Sands for the first time from 7 to 10 March 2013, from 12 noon to 9pm daily. Admission is free.
IT SHOW 2013 kicked off this year with a pre-event campaign. The “I.T Begins Now!” campaign was launched on the IT SHOW Facebook page on 29 January. Within the first three weeks, it received over 5,000 participants, and its Facebook page currently has approximately 30,000 “Likes”.
This year’s show offers a dynamic and comprehensive line-up of the latest and hottest consumer technology gadgets from next-generation connected televisions, coolest mobile phones, Netbooks, Digital Imaging, Wireless Technology, Portable Entertainment, HD LED TV, Gaming, GPS to Home/Business Networking, Digital Media, Audio & Home Theatre Entertainment, to a plethora of accessories all under one roof.
Mr Melvin Koh, General Manager of Exhibits Inc Pte Ltd, said:”The key trend that is likely to dominate the tech industry this year at our show is mobility, as data and devices take an even tighter grip on our lives. Smartphones and tablets will fire up e-commerce, to be used as business tools and to help improve productivity. Lower prices of tablets will also lead to greater Internet adoption. This year, we are expecting a turnout of about 500,000 visitors with expected revenue of $45 million over 4 days.”
For the first time ever, visitors will also be given updates on the hottest hourly show floor deals direct to their smartphones. There is no need for app installation. Simply visit www.itshow.com.sg/app during the event to gain access to its features, which includes an interactive map for visitors to locate the exhibitor’s booth.
Into its 12th edition, IT SHOW 2013 will be giving away more than $20,000 cash in the grand lucky draw. One coupon will be given for every $100 paid or deposit placed during the 4 days.
There is also a free shuttle service to and from Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre and Marina Square Shopping Mall taxi stand from 10.30am to 10.30pm (excluding lunch time from 11.30am to 2.30pm on 7 and 8 March), with bus services plying at 15-minute intervals.
