Singapore, 12 March 2013 – CLEO, Singapore’s best-selling magazine for young women, will be crowning the winner of its CLEO Most Eligible Bachelor contest 2013 at a Finals Party on 15 March, from 7.30pm.
Into its 18th year, this signature annual event for CLEO is a highly-anticipated contest which showcases 50 hot and eligible men in Singapore.
The CLEO 50 Most Eligible Bachelors are renowned for having talent, success, personality and good looks this year is no exception. From talented individuals such as Ah Boys To Men star Joshua Tan, sportsmen such as National Rugby Player Kai White and Singapore’s youngest National Sprinter Calvin Kang, to entrepreneurs like Goh Zhuwei, owner of a trendy bar cheekily named Coq and Balls, the CLEO Bachelors this year are the contest’s most dynamic line-up to date.
In its 18 years, CLEO has had a knack of spotting up-and-coming talent who are now household names in Singapore. These include personalities like Desmond Tan, Hady Mirza and Vivian Dawson.
Cheong Kamei, Editor of CLEO Singapore, said: “Past Bachelors have gone on to launch successful acting, modelling and other high-profile careers, so take a good look at this year’s Bachelors. We’re confident you’ll be seeing a lot more of them in the years to come!”
As part of CLEO 50 Most Eligible Bachelors' 18th anniversary, CLEO also organised two fringe events to celebrate this milestone.
The first event, held on 2 March at 313@Somerset, invited readers to meet the CLEO Bachelors and to take photos with them. Some lucky readers also won themselves tickets to the Finals Party.
The second event, held from 4 to 31 March, is the CLEO Bachelors Hall Of Fame Exhibition at Bugis Junction – an exhibition that celebrates the long history of the event. Highlights of the exhibition include a showcase of past year Bachelors such as Adrian Pang, Pierre Png and Christopher Lee, as well as achievements such as setting the national record for “Most People On A Bed” in 2007.
Readers can vote for their favourite Bachelor via SMS or email. Voting commenced on 19 February and will close on 15 March. The winner of the CLEO Most Eligible Bachelor 2013 will walk away with more than $5,000 worth of products from sponsors.
The CLEO 50 Most Eligible Bachelors 2013 is presented by Olympus and sponsored by A|X Time, Contiki, Playboy Fragrances, Schick and Toni&Guy HairMeetWardrobe.
