More than 700 At CATS Classified Property Seminar

Experts gave their take on today's property market

Singapore, 23 March 2013 - To invest in residential or commercial property? To buy now or later? These were some of the questions participants hoped to get answers to at the CATS Classified Property Seminar 2013, which was held earlier today at the Matrix Auditorium, 30 Biopolis Street.

The seminar featured four experts from the real estate industry who provided a comprehensive perspective on today's property market and the challenges and opportunities it brings. Besides updating participants on trends in key market segments in Singapore, they also provided insights into property investment opportunities in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The seminar also equipped participants with knowledge on how to handle legal aspects of commercial property investments.

Mr Nicholas Mak, Executive Director and Head of the Research & Consultancy department at SLP International Property Consultants, spoke on the challenges and opportunities in private residential properties. He felt that the upward pressure on property prices would continue, due to the loose monetary policies from major economies and the low interest rate environment.

The other speakers included Mr Clarence Chow, General Manager, Centaline (Singapore) Property Agency Pte Ltd; Mr Ku Swee Yong, CEO at International Property Advisor Pte Ltd; and Mr Subra M Suppiah, Advocate and Solicitor, Subra TT Law LLC.

Participants found the seminar useful, as it was informative and the speakers were knowledgeable.

More than 700 attended the seminar over two sessions.
