Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair 2013 set to further spearhead the Singapore gifts industry

Singapore, 8 July 2013 – Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair (SGPFair) is Singapore’s pioneer and most established trade show of its kind, showcasing promotional, corporate, incentive and retail gifts. It is organised by BizLink Exhibition Services Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings Limited.


The 14th edition of SGPFair 2013 will be held from 10 – 12 July 2013 at the Marina Bay Sands, Expo and Convention Center, Level 1, Halls B & C. 

Ms Isabella Loh, Chairman, Singapore Environment Council will be the Guest-of-Honour for the event’s opening ceremony on 10 July.


With an exhibition space of over 4,500 square metres representing a 10 per cent increase from 2012, and with 158 participants, SGPFair is the largest and most successful trade show of its kind. 

Visitors can look forward to the greatest variety of products from international exhibitors at SGPFair. Both local (61%) and overseas exhibitors (39%) will be presenting a variety of unique products and the latest designs from over 30 countries, such as Australia, Germany, Korea, Japan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Italy, US, UK, and more.

International Group Pavilions from China/ Hong Kong/ Macau, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore, will also be present.

Taking sustainability issues seriously, Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair is proud to launch an Eco-Gifts Showcase this year. On display will be a collection of innovative environmentally-friendly gifts contributed by exhibitors, such as wood jewellery and art pieces made from factory “waste” or “rejects”, biodegradable cork thumb drives and pens made from recycled plastic bottles.

Visitors can play a part in saving our Earth by making Eco-friendly purchase gift decisions. A collection of “green” gifts, contributed by various exhibitors will be on show at the Eco-Gifts Showcase. 

This year’s SGPFair sees a rise in the showcase of luxury and leisure gift products, such as watch winders, wine-in-tube, 24 karat gold art, and Swarovski business and incentive gifts. 

Visitors can also look forward to a series of educational marketing and branding seminars on the show floors, and a student collaboration showcase, which is into its second year. 

Championing real-world learning, both students and past year winners of Republic Polytechnic's nationwide secondary school entrepreneurship competition (National Pushcart Challenge) in which participating schools are matched with a social enterprise to identify, develop and market new product ideasare put on display. 

This showcase aims to help students gain industry support for commercialisation of their creative products, potentially advancing their business idea to the next level.

SGPFair 2013 will be held in conjunction with Office Expo Asia (OEA), which showcases an expanded profile of complete office solutions, bringing a new perspective to the event. 

Together, they are Singapore's and the region’s leading platform for corporate and office buyers sourcing for gifts, premiums and office solutions, meeting the ambitions of the corporate business domain.

Office Expo Asia 2013 – Discover a total solution for your every business need 

Visitors can expect a multitude of enterprise solutions, office automation and equipment, workplace planning and design, and office supplies and services at OEA 2013. 

The first-ever Eco-Office showcase, supported by Singapore Environment Council’s Project Eco-Office initiative, was sparked to raise awareness and promote environmentally-friendly habits within the workplace. 

Recreating an actual office, green items such as office furniture, printers, paints, detergents, lighting, and paper will be displayed alongside with Eco-tips. This showcase will help to cultivate a sense of environmental consciousness at the workplace. 

In addition, the Advisory Zone will have officers and advisors from SME Centre@SCCCI and SME Infocomm Resource Centre @ SIRS to provide advice on topics such as leveraging on government assistance schemes, and boosting productivity and profitability that will benefit enterprises. The Singapore Workforce Development Agency will also be present to share on their initiatives.

Events and Out-of-Home Advertising

SPH’s events arm Sphere Exhibits organises innovative consumer and trade events and exhibitions as well as large scale conferences in Singapore and the region. In addition, SPH has ventured into out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its digital out-of-home platform SPH MediaBoxOffice.


Properties

SPH owns and manages Paragon, the prime retail and office complex in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore's main shopping belt.
