Singapore, 1 August 2013 – The results of the SPH iink Awards 2013, organised by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), were announced at the SPH iink Awards Celebration Night tonight at Alkaff Mansion before a crowd of more than 300 guests from the advertising industry. Awards were given out to the creative agency, media agency and advertiser responsible for the winning advertisements.

This year's big winner was a campaign by Grey Group Singapore for their client Procter & Gamble International - Duracell. Their campaign, "The Return - Dog/Doll/Robot", won Gold in the Print Single - English (for "Robot") and the Print Campaign - English categories.

The campaign also won the much coveted Grand Prix award, which saw Grey Group Singapore bagging a cash prize of $8,000.

Points were allocated to the winners and finalists of each category. The Grand Prix winner was the entry that scored the highest number of points, while the highest scoring creative and media agency across all categories were crowned the iink Creative Agency Of The Year and the iink Media Agency Of The Year, respectively.

Grey Group Singapore won the title of iink Creative Agency Of The Year, while OMD Singapore was named iink Media Agency Of The Year.

The 10 award categories this year were:

Readers' Choice Award

The winning advertisers from Categories A (A1 - A5) and E, as well as the Grand Prix winner, will each receive a full-page advertising space in either of SPH's flagship newspapers – The Straits Times or Lianhe Zaobao.

The winning advertisers from Categories B to D (Digital, Radio and Out-of-Home) will each receive $30,000 worth of advertising space in their respective media category.

The winner of the Readers' Choice Award was also announced during the awards presentation. "Lottery Scam" by Urban Forest Design for their client Singapore Police Force and National Crime Prevention Council won over the hearts of readers and took home the award. The media agency was UM Singapore.

Mr Leslie Fong, Senior Executive Vice-President, Marketing Division, SPH, said: "SPH is delighted to celebrate Singapore's creative talents at our annual SPH iink Awards, which has seen tremendous enthusiasm from advertisers and agencies. We have been receiving more entries each year, but more importantly, we have seen the level of creativity increasing, be it in the creatives, ad copy or media buy. This is exactly what we hope to see and we will continue to support and encourage the advertising community to explore new advertising possibilities.

The SPH iink Awards was originally launched to honour the best print advertisements and the creative people behind them. In 2012, three new categories – Digital, Radio and Out-of-Home – were introduced to recognise creative and effective advertisements on SPH's other media platforms. Formerly known as the SPH Ink Awards, it was renamed the SPH iink Awards last year – with the additional “i” representing “Integration”.

To be eligible for the ‘SPH IS ON Campaign’ category, entries must have appeared in at least one other SPH marketing platform besides newspapers. SPH’s comprehensive range of marketing platforms includes more than 100 magazine titles, three radio stations, out-of-home as well as online media, including Internet TV.
