Leading international brands choose Singapore as franchise hub for Asian region

Singapore, 1 October - The 8th edition of Franchising & Licensing Asia 2013 (FLAsia) will be held from 3 – 5 October 2013 at Level 1 Hall B, Sands Expo & Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands Singapore. It is organised by BizLink Exhibition Services Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings.

Given Singapore's political stability, good economic climate, and transparent bureaucracy conducive for business activities, the island state has been identified by leading international companies as the franchise hub for the Asian region. 

Anytime Fitness, one of the largest gym franchises in the world, has over 2,000 clubs in more than a dozen countries serving 1.5 million members. They will be signing a contract with their Singapore development agent to develop 40 locations locally.

In addition, Fun Toast – a coffee chain that has 6 outlets in Singapore with 3 more in the pipeline; and Soul Centre – which conducts a life-skills program, SoulKids®, which helps develop essential abilities such as leadership, independence, discipline, teamwork and self-understanding through games and experiential, will also be part of the signing ceremony.

To commemorate the respective partnerships between our exhibitors and their franchisee/ licensees, a mass signing ceremony will take place at the event’s opening ceremony on 3 October, witnessed by Guest-of-Honour Mr Teo Ser Luck, Minister of State for Trade and Industry. 

FLAsia 2013

FLAsia 2013 is the International Event for Entrepreneurship, Business Opportunities & Intellectual Property Rights in Asia.

It provides an opportunity which brings together prospective franchisees and investors, allowing business individuals to attain their aspirations. Participants will be able to turn their dreams into reality with range of franchises for their consideration.

FLAsia 2013 is the largest showing in recent years with close to 250 brands (as of 20 Sep). Aspiring entrepreneurs and potential investors may visit Level 1 Hall B of Marina Bay Sands Singapore to evaluate business opportunities till 5 October.

FLAsia Taste of International Franchise Networking Night 

In addition, this year’s programme line up will see the first ever FLAsia Taste of International Franchise Networking Night. This is a closed-door event for overseas group delegations, trade bodies, media, conference speakers and delegates, to network and mingle over light refreshments which are generously sponsored by selected participating FLAsia exhibitors.

Business / trade visitors, and individuals seeking business and investment opportunities, who wish to visit, should register directly on-site at Level 1 Hall B of Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center on show days. Admission is free.
