Singapore, 27 June 2010 – “Hunt for Love”, a Rednano outdoor event to promote bonding among couples and its geo-location mobile services - Rednano LOCATE, is back in its second season.
On 27 June (Sunday) from 12 noon to 6pm at SPH News Centre, 23 coupleswill take the outdoor challenge by signing up for the 6-hour islandwide amazing race to stand a chance to win cash and prizes such as SK Jewellery and renovation packages worth S$17,000.
Participants of “Hunt for Love” will be given a Rednano T-shirt each. Couples have to download Rednano LOCATE from the iPhone App Store and use this to hunt down the merchants listed (clues given) in the game card. They will go on the hunt wearing an eye-catching Rednano T-shirt and photograph themselves at the merchant’s outlets. They will also have to send a SMS request to 33333 using Rednano SMS Directory Service, as a proof of visit.
Strict rules such as travelling only on public transportation (MRT or bus) from one merchant’s location to another test the couples’ ability to plan their itinerary using Rednano LOCATE.
Besides rewarding the first 3 pairs of couples who return to SPH News Centre from the island wide hunt, Rednano will also conduct a lucky draw with S$100 CASH as prizes for 20 lucky winners.
Mr Paul Jansen, Chief Executive Officer of SPH Search said: “Rednano Hunt for Love is created to inject fun into relationships and at the same time educate users about Rednano LOCATE, a useful geo-location mobile service launched in 2009.
Rednano LOCATE has gained a steady stream of users since its launch. And with its introduction in the iPhone App Store, there’s been a surge in the number of users of the application. This encouraging trend strengthens our presence as a quality mobile content provider.”
