With the revamp of the website and the introduction of the smartphone and tablet apps, readers of Berita Harian can now enjoy their daily read on four platforms: the daily print (newspaper) edition; the BH online edition (BeritaHarian.sg), the smartphone edition as well as the tablet edition. This will allow them to read Berita Harian anytime, anywhere.

Besides the full content of the daily BH print edition, there will be additional content that is available exclusively on BH's digital platforms such as extended interviews and food reviews for users. Special sections exclusive to BH's digital platforms include Wacana, a section dedicated to socio-political issues that are important to the Malay/Muslim community; and Hidayah, a section on religious affairs.

Halal food lovers can celebrate the launch of a new food microsite called SoShiok Halal. The microsite will serve as the go-to site for halal food as it will feature a directory of halal food establishments, halal food reviews, special features on celebrity chefs and more. To top it off, users can even make reservations at Halal restaurants through a collaboration between Berita Harian and Chope!, a website that allows online restaurant bookings.

Via the digital platforms, BH is able to provide new content to make user experience even better and more interactive. Besides photo galleries, there will be video clips on both news and lifestyle topics that users can view anytime, including exclusive interviews with local and international celebrities and behind the scene videos.

There will also be new interactive features such as enabling users to leave comments, sharing news and stories via social networks, online contests and polls, and a feature that allows users to tip-off BH by giving them direct contact with the newsrooms.

Mr Saat Abdul Rahman, Editor, Berita Harian, said: "It has been a challenging but exciting year for Berita Harian. Following our print revamp in May, we embarked on our digital project culminating in the launch of our new website, BeritaHarian.sg
