Singapore, 5 September 2016 – Singapore’s biggest tech show returns for its 23rd edition with a bang! From 8 – 11 September, Comex 2016 will be held at Suntec Exhibition and Convention Centre, Level 3 (11am – 9pm) as well as Levels 4 and 6 (12 – 9pm). Organised by Exhibits Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sphere Exhibits, the events and exhibition subsidiary of SPH, Comex 2016 will give consumers the chance to try out the latest tech smarts and nab the hottest bargains in Singapore.
Trade Old Gadgets and Games for Cash Vouchers
The popular gadget trade-in program is back! Consumers can bring down their laptops, TVs (LCD or LED more than 18.5 inch), monitors (more than 18.5 inch), tablets, smartphones, PCs, game consoles and games to Level 6 (Hall 603/604 for gadgets, Hall 601 for game consoles and games) to exchange for cash vouchers which can be redeemed against their purchases at Comex 2016.
Consumers may also get a quote for their pre-owned non-gaming gadgets at www.pcdreams.com.sg/comex in advance, before they head down for the show.
With last-generation consoles nearing the end of life, now is a good time to trade old PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 machines for money to help fund that spanking new PlayStation 4 or Xbox One! Even pre-owned console games will be accepted with some newer titles going for as much as $50. New PlayStation 4 consoles will also be considered, with limited edition versions such as Batman and Metal Gear Solid fetching as much as $300 each.
All participants of the trade-in program will also walk away with a one-year Kaspersky Internet Security subscription (worth USD79.95) as well as selected discount vouchers from Lenovo and Samsung.
HP E-Waste Recycling Program (Level 4, Halls 406, 405 &406)
In addition to the regular trade-in action, HP is also stepping up on its e-waste recycling efforts to create a greener Singapore.
For the first time at a consumer tech show, HP Singapore will accept all printers (including all-in-ones, inkjets, lasers, plotters, scanners) and print supplies (ink and toner cartridges) regardless of the brand at its recycling booth at the entrance of Hall 401.
As a token of appreciation for environmental-conscious consumers, HP will be giving out cash vouchers of up to $30 each to consumers who bring in their printers and supplies for recycling. These vouchers can be used for the purchase of HP printers and supplies at Comex 2016.
HP also hopes to educate and raise awareness on the benefits of recycling through its HP E-Waste Education exhibit at the Tech Showcase area at Halls 405 and 406.
