Ace Water, Greenology and Secretlab are the top three winners of Emerging Enterprise Awards 2017

Each winner to receive the coveted Emerging Enterprise Winner title and prizes comprising professional and consultancy services, executive educational programs and support in capability development offered by the respective EE 2017 partners.

Singapore, 29 September 2017 – Ace Water, a provider of services and technology to treat waste water; Greenology, which provides landscaping and urban farming products and technology and Secretlab, which designs and manufactures ergonomic computer chairs, have emerged as the top three winners of the Emerging Enterprise Awards 2017 (EE 2017). 

Bttrigtical, a provider of analytical instruments to measure water content in oil for manufacturing, logistics and e-commerce industries and Pixel Automation which designs and builds customised automation solutions for various industries, are the recipients of the Best Innovation Award.


Homage, a provider of on-demand home-based care to senior citizens and SEYC, which manufactures and distributes local snacks such as salted egg yolk snacks are the winners of the Most Promising Startup Award. 

Guest-of-Honour, Minister for Trade & Industry (Industry) S Iswaran was present at the EE 2017 Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony held at The Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore this evening.

Into its tenth year, EE2017 is Singapore’s only business award that reaches out to SMEs with annual sales turnover of up to S$20 million per annum. The Award acknowledges promising startups and aspiring small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that have been outstanding in their respective fields and provides these deserving businesses with the needed resources to build on their capabilities for further growth. 

This year’s awards feature submissions from a myriad of industries such as furniture design to healthcare and robotics to luxurious paper and leather accessories. The finalists were shortlisted based on the sustainability of their business models and growth plans, as well as the viability of their business strategies in taking on the challenges and opportunities in their various industries.


Each of the top three winners – Ace Water, Greenology and Secretlab – will receive the following:


  • S$200,000 interest-free Business Overdraft facility from OCBC Bank  
  • S$20,000 credit in the OCBC Business Debit Card and a Mastercard Priceless Experiences travel package worth S$30,000, totaling S$50,000 per winner 
  • Strategic Research Consultancy Package from Acorn Marketing & Research Consultants worth $30,000 per winner 
  • Open Enrolment Programme package from INSEAD worth S$30,000 per winner  
  • Consulting Package for Growing Businesses from RSM worth S$30,000 per winner  
  • Support from SPRING Singapore in capability development


The Best Innovation Award recognises the spirit of innovation and originality in business concepts. The two winners, Bttrigtical and Pixel Automation, received an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) business solutions package from Singtel worth up to S$30,000 and a S$50,000 interest-free business overdraft facility from OCBC Bank.  

The two winners of the Most Promising Startup Award, Homage and SEYC, walked away with the Most Promising Startup Title and trophy, as well as S$30,000 worth of digital consultancy services from Maxus. This award was introduced in 2014 to give recognition to young businesses below three years old and with turnover of less than $1 million per annum. 

EE 2017 is jointly organised by The Business Times and OCBC Bank and the Award is supported by Mastercard, Acorn Marketing and Research Consultants, INSEAD, SPRING Singapore, Singtel, Maxus and the official auditor, RSM.
