SPH Magazines Unveils the New Nuyou

Singapore, 14 July 2009 – SPH Magazines Pte Ltd (SPH Magazines) will be unveiling a new Nuyou from October 2009. The revamped Chinese women's title will emerge as a wholesome read, representing the Asian woman's perspective on fashion, beauty and life.

As the leading Chinese publication in Singapore for women, Nuyou brings fashion, beauty, women-centric issues and lifestyle trends to the Chinese-literate career women in their 20s and 30s. The revamped Nuyou will build on its strengths in fashion and beauty, keeping readers up–to-date with the latest trends, how-tos and shopping. It will also be enhanced with compelling features on women-centric issues (sex, relationships, work, money, male views, opinions, health) and lifestyle reads covering interests such as travel, food, gadgets and movies.

As the Asian voice on fashion and beauty trends, the new Nuyou will feature more Asian celebrities from Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. Experts and celebrities in the fashion and beauty industry, like hair guru David Gan and celebrity makeup artist Clarence Lee, will share with readers their experience and tips on trends and styling in a new column.

The refreshed fashion-forward and trendy Nuyou, sporting a more visually attractive, modern and creative design, will hit the newsstands in October 2009.

Grace Lee, Editor-in-Chief of Nuyou, said: “Nuyou serves as the Asian voice on fashion and beauty trends and views. As we continuously strive to be relevant to our readers, the refreshed Nuyou will bring fashion, beauty, and lifestyle features closer to the busy modern career women."

Irene Tan, General Manager of SPH Magazines, said: "A complete read designed for the modern and independent Chinese women, we are confident that the new Nuyou will continue to win the hearts of its loyal readers as well as new readers. It will provide a great platform for our advertisers and partners to reach out to these mobile and affluent readers."

At the same time, Citta Bella, another Chinese-language publication of SPH Magazines, will cease publication, closing after its August 2009 issue. The newly revamped Nuyou, together with the existing ICON Magazine from SPH Magazines, will continue to dominate and maintain their leadership positions in the local Chinese magazines market
