Paragon Celebrates National Day from now till 18 August 2009

Singapore, 31 July 2009 – From now till 18 August 2009, Paragon will be hosting a series of school band performances at Paragon Front Foyer in celebration of Singapore’s 44th birthday.

Groups such as the ITE Jazz Band, Maris Stella Symphonic Band and All Saints Alumni will be performing each weekend from 1 August onwards. Listen out for popular movie soundtracks and pop tunes such as Pirates from the Caribbean OST and Rihanna’s hit single Umbrella from Maris Stella Symphonic Band, or groove to ITE Jazz Band’s delightful selection of rock, swing and Latin music.

Also performing is Vocaluptous, who will be opening the National Anthem at this year’s National Day Parade. Catch the premier a cappella group at Paragon with their songs from their latest album, Notes from an Island, which include favourites such as Home.

Shoppers can also look forward to daily lunchtime music performances by singer Meryl Joan Lee. One of the young talents who performed for ChildAid 2008 charity concert, she will be belting out popular pop and jazz tunes such as Fly Me To The Moon, Besame Mucho, Top Of The World, Somewhere Over The Rainbow and Let's Fall In Love. Catch her during lunchtime at the Paragon Main Atrium 12-2pm from now till 18 August.

In addition, shoppers who spend $400 in a single receipt will be able to redeem a pair of LiuLiGongFang crystal sake glasses worth $41. Redemption is limited to one per shopper per day, while stocks last. Promotion excludes bill payments, medical charges, voucher purchases and installment plans.

In the radio business, SPH has an 80 per cent stake in SPH UnionWorks Pte Ltd, which operates entertainment stations Radio 100.3 FM in Mandarin and Radio 91.3 FM in English.

Outdoor Advertising
In addition, SPH has ventured into outdoor advertising through its wholly-owned subsidiary, SPH MediaBoxOffice Pte Ltd, Singapore’s largest outdoor motion display advertising network media company.
