91.3FM takes on the One Litre Charity Challenge

Singapore, 14 October 2009 --- How far can one litre of petrol go? It could go a long way to help kids from poorer families to have proper meals in schools. It could also go towards easing the financial burdens of parents, who otherwise have difficulties to provide good education for these less well off kids.

91.3FM deejays, Boy Thunder & Cheryl Miles, will lend support to the One Litre Charity Challenge, organised by Shell. The challenge is designed to see how far one litre of Shell’s new breakthrough fuel can go. Shell will donate money towards the ST School Pocket Money Fund for every kilometre clocked. The Fund, set up in 2000 by The Straits Times, aims to heighten public awareness of the plight of children from low-income families who were attending school without a proper breakfast, or pocket money to sustain their day in school.

Boy Thunder, who will be taking part, commented on the challenge: “91.3FM wants to be the community station. We are glad to offer help to these kids. We hope to go as far possible. The further we go, the more money we raise for the charity!”

The One Litre Charity Challenge will be held on 16 October, at Infusion @ Dempsey, Blk 16A Dempsey Road, #01- 01 at 12 noon.
