SPH Wins For Best Print and Integrated Campaigns at 2010 PANPA Advertising Awards

Singapore's largest media group receives 6 honours from PANPA

Singapore, 29 April 2010 – The Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers' Association (PANPA) has announced the winners of the 2010 Advertising Awards for in-house creative and execution. Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) received a total of six honours at the Awards, which saw a record number of entries received. SPH won in two major categories and received "highly commended" citations in four.

Among the campaigns that were commended were two for F&N Fruit Tree and Carlsberg that involved creative buys. The campaigns excited and grabbed the attention of readers instantly, through the bold use of visuals for the "F&N Fruit Tree" campaign in
my paper and unique pagination in the case of the "Carlsberg Lunar New Year" campaign in Lianhe Zaobao.

For its The New Paper New Face campaign, SPH won in the category of Best Integrated Media Campaign for a Client. The campaign, which saw ads on print, over the radio as well as on outdoor digital screens owned by SPH MediaBoxOffice, was well received by the public as well as sponsors of the event.

Broadcasting
SPH has a 20 per cent stake in MediaCorp TV Holdings Pte Ltd, which operates free-to-air channels 5, 8, U and TV Mobile, and a 40 per cent stake in MediaCorp Press Limited, which publishes the free newspaper, Today. In the radio business, SPH has an 80 per cent stake in SPH UnionWorks Pte Ltd, which operates entertainment stations Radio 100.3 in Mandarin and 91.3FM in English.

Outdoor Advertising
In addition, SPH has ventured into out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its wholly-owned subsidiary, SPH MediaBoxOffice Pte Ltd, Singapore’s largest outdoor motion display advertising network media company.

Properties
SPH owns and manages Paragon, the prime retail and office complex in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore's main shopping belt. SPH's wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Development Pte Ltd, is also developing a 43-storey upmarket residential condominium, Sky@eleven, at Thomson Road.
