Lianhe Zaobao, Content Lab bag prestigious wins at w3, Marketing Excellence Awards
SPH Media’s Content Lab and Lianhe Zaobao continued our haul of awards this year with wins from both local and international award-giving bodies in September.
Content Lab’s first reality makeover series, Singapore Dreamin’, created in partnership with Singtel, pushed boundaries to take home the gold in the Excellence in B2B Marketing category. Leveraging SPH Media’s extensive media network, the narrative was amplified across a powerful mix of platforms, from the authoritative digital channels of The Straits Times to engaging posts on our social media channels, and the popular radio brand Kiss 92.
The powerful channel mix, combined with the strategically created content, translated into tangible results for Singtel, one of which is a 12% uptick in product bundle sales vs the previous quarter.
Meanwhile, Lianhe Zaobao won three silver prizes at the 20th w3 Awards presented by The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), validating our ability to access and engage culturally specific audiences in Singapore through visual storytelling. w3 attracted over a thousand entries from around the world, with judges consisting of renowned directors and film scholars, as well as executives and design professionals from media, interactive, advertising, and marketing companies.

How Chinese Muslims celebrate Chinese New Year in Singapore won the Silver Award in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Category in the General Video category.
The video focused on how Chinese Muslims celebrate the Lunar New Year and explores the similarities and differences between Chinese converts to Islam and the general Chinese community in Singapore.
Another video, GE 2025: How Singapore's political battlegrounds are changing, won the Silver Award for Best Use of Visual Effects or Motion Graphics in the Video Feature category, a testament to our best-in-class visual storytelling.
To provide a comprehensive analysis of the complex dynamics of the 2025 Singapore General Election campaigning, it ingeniously drew on the narrative style of the classic chapter novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" as it depicted the situation and strategic deployments of the various political parties.

Behind Singapore's CPF won Silver in the News and Politics Category of the video competition. It chronicles the evolution of Singapore's CPF system over the past 70 years, showcasing our expertise in turning complex topics into compelling content, delivering deep and sustained engagement.
An interactive website, "100,000 Whys About the CPF," distilled the video content into key insights and presented them in a question-and-answer format, allowing the public to quickly access relevant information.
RedAnts and ThinkChina were also recognised at w3. RedAnt won gold in the Video Series-Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category for their I Am the Specialist series and a silver in the Video Series-News & Politics category for the Jalan Jalan series. ThinkChina also netted a silver in the Video Series-Interview or Talk category for its ThinkChina Forum 2025 Interview Series.
