Overwhelming response from seniors, caregivers for Lianhe Zaobao dialogue

Events

250 people comprising seniors as well as their children and caregivers attended the dialogue co-organised by the Ministry of National Development (MND), Housing & Development Board (HDB), and Ministry of Health (MOH) with Chinese-language daily Lianhe Zaobao, which provided more information and answered questions from the public about Community Care Apartments (CCA).

As a sign of keen interest and engagement with the target audience, there was an overwhelming response to the dialogue, which was conducted in Mandarin on 31 August at the SPH News Centre Auditorium. Upon the launch of the event’s registration, the slots filled up in just four days.

They also fielded a raft of questions from the attendees, including whether they could sell the CCA back to HDB and if they could apply for a CCA if they already own either HDB flats or private properties.

An information booth was set up outside the auditorium for attendees. It also featured a model of a CCA in line with the upcoming project in Geylang that will be launched in the October 2024 BTO sales exercise.
