SPH Media’s The Car Expo continues to attract serious car buyers, fuelling a 23% surge in car sales in the latest edition

Singapore’s biggest automotive event, THE CAR EXPO, once again proved its ability to pull serious car buyers in its May edition, driving a 15% increase in the number of cars sold over its October edition.
In dollar amount, this translates to a 23% increase in car sales figures at the end of the 2-day weekend event held on 3 to 4 May 2025.
In total, close to 900 cars were sold, garnering about $190 million in sales.

At the event, brand representatives maximised the ample opportunities to engage with visitors, giving them a chance to provide insights and personalised recommendations based on individual requirements. Car accessories specialists also interacted with automotive enthusiasts who were looking for tips on how to improve their ride.

12 new brands were featured in the show for the first time. These include authorised distributors — DEEPAL, DENZA, Jaecoo, JMEV, MINI, Nissan, Proton e.MAS, and Subaru. Commercial brands Farizon and Riddara and accessories and services brands — DCS Card Centre and Zeus Consultancy Services — rounded out the list of newcomers.
In total, 48 brands comprising 34 authorised distributors, 6 pre-owned car dealerships, and 8 accessories and services companies unveiled exciting new products and offered spectacular deals to a strong and steady crowd of eventgoers.
Ms Cheryl Chiok, Managing Director, Eurokars Habitat Pte Ltd., (Authorised dealer for MINI in Singapore) said: “We are happy with the overall exposure for MINI and our new range of models. The 2-day show has helped us to reach out to potential car buyers and drive sales.”

Apart from fantastic deals, those who purchased a brand new or pre-owned car received up to $1,000 worth of SPC cash vouchers, while the first 50 shoppers of car accessories received a $10 SPC cash voucher with a minimum purchase. The first 1,000 visitors daily also received a limited edition THE CAR EXPO thermal tumbler.

Fun activities for visitors included trivia quizzes to win cash vouchers on Saturday, as well as the chance to play a car racing game at the Rest & Relax corner for free.
