Her World partners Singtel, Shiseido to celebrate 60 women who shaped Singapore

Features

In collaboration with brand partners Singtel and Shiseido, homegrown women’s title Her World Singapore launched a landmark initiative for SG60 and International Women’s Day, celebrating 60 trailblazing women who have shaped Singapore’s history.  This kickstarts a series of thematic specials across SPH Media’s lifestyle media titles to celebrate SG60.

Spanning three pillars — Pioneers, Innovators, and Advocators — the project highlights their impact across diverse fields and their contributions to the nation’s progress. Singtel powered the Innovators pillar, seamlessly aligning with its tagline, “Hello possibilities.” Shiseido, championing the belief that potential has no age, presented the Advocators pillar, perfectly complementing stories of women driving meaningful causes.

From the stories of remarkable pioneers such as Singapore’s first female president Madam Halimah Yacob, innovators such as Hegen CEO Yvon Bock, and lawyer/disability advocate Chia Yong Yong, Her World built on the meaningful connections between its audience and the brand partners.

Elevating brand partners through strategic storytelling and engagement

Taking on a digital-first approach, Her World developed a dedicated content hub where readers can easily view all the articles and features. It also launched a comprehensive social media campaign across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, amplifying visibility and engagement.

Together with Singtel, Her World produced a co-branded reel highlighting three women in tech — Dr Loretta Chen, founder and CEO of Smobler; Dr Suhina Singh, founder and CEO of Jonda Health; and Nurul Jihadah Hussain, founder of The Codette Project — as they shared their insights on innovation.

Meanwhile, in the Advocacy pillar, Shiseido Singapore’s managing director, Jessica Fun shares how brands can also play a role in championing social issues. In the editorial feature, she takes Shiseido’s commitment to sustainability and Clé de Peau Beauté’s partnership with Unicef to support girls’ education as concrete examples of corporate advocacy.

A special SG60 collector’s edition of Her World’s March print book featuring the in-depth profiles was released in March, with Singtel’s iconic bear featured in a specially designed cover gatefold.

Copies of the magazine were strategically distributed at two high-profile events in March — the International Women’s Festival 2025 and the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) 45th anniversary gala.

By placing the special edition directly in the hands of engaged audiences both online and offline, we created added value for our brand partners, extending their reach across multiple platforms.
