SPH Content Lab wins major international and local content marketing awards

2023 has been a winning year for SPH Content Lab and its brand partners, with a slate of awards from international and local industry bodies under its belt.

These include wins for Head of Content Marketing & Lifestyle Media, Phin Wong, who was named Content Leader of the Year at the prestigious International Drum Awards. He also picked up a silver award as Content Person of the Year at the International Content Marketing Awards.

At the same awards, SPH Content Lab’s anti-scam campaign for local telco Singtel picked up a bronze in the Best Use of Video - Series category, out of 11 shortlisted entries globally. The video series tapped into an out-of-the-box way to educate Singaporeans on how to avoid scams: cute cats.

The International Content Marketing Awards is organised by the Content Marketing Association (CMA), an international network that sets the global agenda for content marketing.

Meanwhile, SPH Content Lab’s campaign for financial services company Singlife, What I Wish I Knew in NS, won Global Paid Content Campaign of the Year at the Global Content Awards

The campaign also picked up the Bronze trophy for Excellence in Brand Awareness at the 12th annual Marketing Excellence Awards, and was shortlisted in the Best Content Campaign and Best Use of Video - Series categories at the International Content Marketing Awards, and the Consumer Group category at the International Drum Awards.

Singlife’s hyperlocal content series was anchored by animated social videos featuring hilarious and widely relatable takes on NS life of popular Singaporean personalities: Kumar, Wang Weiliang, and Suhaimi Yusof.

The Singlife campaign was also shortlisted as a Finalist in the Excellence in Content Marketing category at the Marketing Excellence Awards, where another SPH Content Lab campaign for FairPrice Group’s 50th Anniversary was shortlisted in the Excellence in Anniversary Marketing category.
