
The Straits Times (ST) has introduced four new podcast series that focus on contemporary topics. These include work life, scams and behind-the-scenes revelations of the battle against Covid-19 Each podcast is helmed by a seasoned ST journalist and will feature the voices of industry experts and other experienced journalists. As in-house productions, these dedicated podcasts ensure high-quality and professional journalistic integrity.
- Your Money & Career, hosted by ST senior correspondent Krist Boo, will be a new fortnightly podcast launched in April. It aims to help listeners work smarter, think deeper and get further in their professional lives.
- Stop Scams is a monthly podcast hosted by deputy news editor Andre Yeo together with other news journalists. The podcast aims to raise awareness of the modern scourge of scams in Singapore and globally.
- The Unsolved Mysteries of South-east Asia, hosted by ST’s regional correspondents based across Asia, is a special edition monthly podcast series. Airing till July, the five-part series dives into unsolved mysteries in South-east Asia, examining underlying issues that these events have exposed, along with their impact on society.
- Singapore's War On Covid is a six-part monthly podcast series that covers Singapore’s battle against the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Inspired by selected chapters from a book published by ST, the series is hosted by ST’s executive editor Sumiko Tan, senior health correspondent Joyce Teo and health correspondent Timothy Goh.
Launched about three years ago, The Straits Times’ and The Business Times’ podcast network hit one million downloads in the last year and has garnered some 30,000 unique listeners from more than 200 countries.
These four new additions join ST’s current roster of 15 podcast series that publish regular episodes every other week. Aside from their own channels, ST podcasts are also available on the following platforms:
